Well, apparently the computers have deliberately been altered so that nobody can upload pictures of the campers onto the Interwebs.

Irritating, to be sure, but I shall continue to write as often as possible. I get Mondays off, so that's good for me.

1. What's your character's name? Why did you choose that name?

Nick:
Nicholas Michael Grey is my own name. He's me, essentially. I got my first name because my dad was trying to pick one and he didn't know what to choose. A buddy of his told him and Mom "You gotta name him Nick! Nick's your buddy! Nick's your pal!".

The name stuck. ^_^

Nick doesn't like being called "Nicholas". He thinks it's too formal. He also has many titles, but doesn't really keep track of them all. Nick, foremost of all, is Nick.

Michael White:
Michael has no middle name and DESPISES his first name. Somewhere in all of us is a kid who hates being reminded that so and so are his parents...White hates being reminded that he's half human, and since his first name comes from my MIDDLE name...

His last name and his darker, more powerful form, "Pitch Black", are chosen for their colors. Combined...they make Grey.

Grey Nicholas Pelekai:

Grey was given his father's first name as his middle name...it's a tradition in my family. If I'd been born a girl, then "Eda" would be my middle name and I'd be Nicole Eda Grey.

Grey's first name comes from the fact that I thought it'd just be cool to have my last name be his first name. His two other forms are based off the Hawaiian words for black and white, and combined...they make Grey. Ahinahina. ^_^

His last name comes from his mother's side of the family, since it has a nice ring to it.

Heartwing:

Heartwing was given his name because I have always pictured an innocent little dragon who just likes seeing others happy and who wears his heart on his sleeves...or in this case, his wings. It is his optimism and cheerfulness that gives him his title.

King:

King was named after a garter snake...one who belongs to a family that's always hung around my house. I've saved him and his family a couple times from being run over. His name is essentially a tie to the name "King Snake". I thought of giving him a last name...but a single, solitary name had more power. Thus, it stuck. He's more than just a snake, after all.

Staccato:

Staccato was named for a musical term that means quickly and lightly. Many Mega Man characters have musical names...I just got into the spirit.

2. Lahvely. What is their role in the story? Hero? Antagonist? Comic relief?

Nick: Moral Compass of a Group.
Grey: Slightly offbeat hero.
White: Anything I feel like making him. He can go either way.
Heartwing: Lovable lug who can't hurt a fly.
King: Wise mentor figure. Makes great green tea.
Staccato: Cop. Good for the "Good cop/bad cop" scenario since he can literally go either way. Also used to tribute and parody old shows like "Dragnet".

3. Give three or more facts about their physical appearance, eg eye color, hair color, height, whether they're attractive or not if you're superficial.

Nick:
Eye color: Green/Hazel.

Hair color: Brown.
Height: Six three.
Attractiveness: Cute. That's all. Boyishly cute.

Grey:
Eye color: Black, but with green tint at bottom. As Ele Hiwa, it turns white with a blood red tint, as Kuali, it's grey with a sad blue tint.
Hair color: Brown. Always. Not gonna cover fur, you all know what color THAT is.
Height: 4 feet, 2 inches at most.
Attractiveness: Kinda scary/cute at same time.

White:
Eye Color: Pink, normally. Green if going Pitch Black.
Hair Color: White. Totally White.
Height: 6'4. Slightly taller than Nick. Rubs his face in it.
Attractiveness: He's too sexy for his shirt sometimes. YES.

Heartwing:
Eye Color: Black
Hair Color: No hair, but has silver crest spikes.
Height: About 3'8.
Attractiveness: VERRRY cute. VERY.

King:
Eye Color: Gold.
Hair Color: Light Blue.
Height: 6'2.
Attractiveness: For a snake anthro, he looks nice.

Staccato:
Eye Color: Changes on mood. Usually silver.
Hair: Slightly dark brown.
Height: 6 feet tall.
Attractiveness: Sweet-looking, but also slightly sad.

4. Are they afraid of anything? Why?

Nick: Formerly afraid of the night. No longer. Now deathly afraid of mass death and suffering. Also the idea of being alone and forgotten fills him with deep sorrow, almost as much as the fear of losing his ohana...especially his brother.

Grey: He's afraid of losing control and murdering everyone he loves...becoming a MONSTER.

White: Afraid of commitment, mostly. But also of opening up and being vulnerable on an emotional level.

Heartwing: He has a deep-seated fear of lances. It comes from 627 reading him a story about St. George...

King: Mongooses. He's embarrassed by this fear.

Staccato: Accidentally executing an innocent person.

5. What's their goal, either in life or in the story? Is it to win the heart of the fair damsel, or to vanquish the villain?

Nick: Do right thing, live happily ever after SOMEHOW.

Grey: Look after ohana and make sure none are left behind.

White: Look out for number one.

Heartwing: Making everyone happy is what he lives for. Smiling faces are what keeps him going.

King: He's lived hundreds of lifetimes and has reincarnated many times. He really wants to just observe people living out their lives...he wants to be around to see the greatest of all stories play out...

Staccato: To uphold Justice...and one day, have a real family. Kind of a problem since he's a ROBOT...

6. Give me four facts about their personality that only the author would know. Favorite food? Place of birth? Favorite childhood toy? Anything goes.

Nick:

1.If anybody mentions his old yellow baby blanket, he automatically tears up. Kila:
2.He never throws any of his old books away. He's almost Obsessive-Compulsive.
3.Was actually born in Seattle.
4.VERRRY jealous of his brother's amazing academic talents.

Grey:
1.Despises the taste of tofu.
2. Once ate Jumba. Don't ask why or how. Vomited him up later.
3. Can revive and return to normal state as long as Nick is alive.
4. Can do Yoga like an expert. Learned from Pleakley. Very grateful.

White:
1. Never actually had sex with Kelsey. Called it off at last minute.
2. Didn't find out Sari was his daughter for ages. Is now frightened of parenthood.
3. If you took his jacket and shirt off, the beauty of his chest would literally dazzle you.
4. He brought sexy back. Yes. He can do that.

Heartwing:
1. Likes to OCCASIONALLY chase after cars. Sometimes collides.
2. Once put on a bra over his eyes and pretended they were space goggles. Nani screamed very loudly.
3. Bites his tail occasionally in nervousness. This makes him yelp, run around, then bite his tail in nervousness again. Third party intervention required.
4. Loves "Shrek" series dearly. Has stuffed Shrek doll.

King
1. Makes AWFUL coffee, but amazing green tea. Go figure.
2. If you get him drunk, he'll start to sing in Hebrew.
3. He is descended from the serpent who tricked Eve. Embarrassed about THIS too.
4. Loves organic food like tofu. Hates live food. Ironic.

Staccato
1. Can yodel very well.
2. Can do the gun-twirling thing from "Robocop" without a hitch.
3. Happens to be an excellent singer...EXCEPT in the shower.
4. If you put a magnet on him, he'll start talking like GIR.

7. How do they speak? Dialect? Accent? Use of ridiculously long words?

Nick: Normally, but likes using quotes often.

Grey: Uses Hawaiian words frequently. Sounds like an older Jesse McCartney.

White: Enjoys cursing in exotic languages, but has no accent.

Heartwing: Speaks with a childish tone.

King: Has a very venerable, wise and kindly tone, like an old sensei.

Staccato: Has a tiny metallic accent to his words. Is trying to fix this.

8. What's their family like? How does their family influence them?

Nick, Grey Heartwing: They view their large ohana as everyone they care for, and that's a lot of people. Their family's safety is a big concern.

King and Staccato: Sadly, they are without family. Their "family" are the ones they instruct (for King, who teaches magic) and protect (For Staccato, who's a cop). It's to fill a biiig void. Sad, really.

White: Is reluctant to say he has a family. Part of him wants one, but he's scared of committing to a real relationship.

9. How do they dress? Why, eg to stand out from the crowd, because that's what everyone wears?

Nick: Mood necklace, blue vest, green t-shirt and jeans, usually. Or a tie-dye shirt, or something that's kinda silly, like a shirt that reads "This is what cool looks like".

Grey: No shirt. Tie dye pants and mood necklace that doubles as flea collar.

White: White undershirt, gold jacket with black straps, belt with emerald stud at front, white pants.

Heartwing: Needs no clothes.

Staccato: Has armor of green, gold and silver. No "clothes".

King: Likes to wear a slightly shamanic outfit. White or blue jacket/robe with slightly baggy pants, Native-American-style necklace and belt, sandals.

10. What makes them laugh?

Nick: Many, many things.

Grey: A sucker for slapstick and bodily function humor.

White: Is a follower of Schardenfruede.

King: Jokes about religion and spirituality.

Staccato: Jokes about the law.

Heartwing: Pretty much anything except humor that involves people getting hurt...like White's style of humor.

11. What makes them cry?

Nick: Realizing that somebody he knows and cares about is going to die, seeing sad movies, music that touches him...he's a bleeding-heart.

Grey: Seeing animals or people in great pain. Especially his family.

White: Watching mass death...or seeing Nick or Kelsey or Sari harmed.

Heartwing: Seeing his ohana in pain or dead breaks his heart.

King: Seeing mankind's cruelty towards each other.

Staccato: Is usually to cry...a fact that makes him want to cry very much. Hates his lack of humanity.

12. If you were to meet them, how would you react? Would you get along? Why?

I'd be excited. They're all swell people really. Even White, once you get to know him!

13. How do others react to them? How are they linked to other characters in your story?

Most people tend to look at Nick as waaaay too nice for his own good, Grey's kinda scary and cannibalistic, but reliable, and NOBODY knows what to do with White. King's seen as a wise figure who makes great tea and Heartwing's lovable and sweet. I'm still developing Staccato out.

14. What are their strengths?

Nick: His moral compass and ability to use magical music.

Grey: His limitless strength, great durability...and compassion.

White: His powers over time and space and keen intellect.

Heartwing: His kindness and ability over light.

King: His mastery of black and elemental magic and green tea-making skills.

Staccato: His sense of justice.

15. Weaknesses?

Nick: Naive, kinda dumb, horrible at math and with advanced technology, drives too slowly and is either too polite or too honest at the WORST of times.

Grey: Slightly gluttonous, needs to control temper and rage. Unretractable claws.

White: Can't really take things seriously...has little, if any, morals.

Heartwing: Stupid. Waaay too stupidly childish and naive.

King: Wise, but unfortunately has no idea on how to use most technology. He's jinxed around it.

Staccato: Has a shutoff switch...jab hard at back of head.

16. What influences/affects them the most? Is it a past experience, a friend, a foe?

All of them but Nick: Their connection to Nick and what he's taught them.

Nick: The lessons's he's learned from the people he loves.

17. Imagine that this character were to die. Who would miss them the most? Would anyone be pleased? [How cruel.]

Nick: Everyone would freak out. I mean, this is Mister "Can't Die". They'd be horrified, especially his closest family.

Grey: Nick would go ballistic and insane with grief if Grey died in front of him and he couldn't save him at all. Kila would probably be deeply saddened. Most of the experiments know him as a reliable and good friend...they'd be affected too. And Green...well, Green would be inconsolable.

White: Nick would cry deeply. He understands White the most.

Heartwing: I don't even WANT to think about that poor little guy dying again. Once made me cry. He's too innocent and sweet to think about dying more than once.

King: Nick would miss him deeply, as would his students. He's a devoted teacher.

Staccato: Rebecca, his "girlfriend", would commit suicide. Nick would stop her. Ace would feel very saddened.

18. If this character were stranded on an island, which 3 things would they take?

All of them: They'd bring something to make fire with. Except White. He'd bring porn. Lots of it.

19. What do they like most about themselves? Do others agree?

All of them: The strength of their hearts. And others would agree...their resolve is something that's seen in many of my characters...a resolve to stick to their morals no matter what the consequence.

20. Dislike most about herself? Do others agree?

Nick: Hates being unable to save everyone.

Grey: Hates his claws sometimes. REALLY hates.

White: Hates being so cowardly in relationships occasionally.

Heartwing: Hates St. George. Calls him "bully".

King: Hates people bringing up his tail.

Staccato: Hates people telling him he can't truly "feel".
